Microsatellite instability (MSI)

Introduction

Microsatellite instability is genetic instability in short nucleotide repeats (microsatellites) due to a high mutation rate as a result of abnormal DNA mismatch repair. It has been found correlated with several cancers and influence the effect of immunosuppressant in tumor therapy.

Genewell developed a series of MSI reference standards covering MSI-H and MSS status, with verified changes in recognised biomarkers. These standards are available in various formats to mimic distinct of clinical samples. Additionally, these MSI standards can also be customised to mimic preferred tumour fractions.
